Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

Clean water, proper sanitation and good hygiene have a profound impact on health. Diarrhoeal diseases, transmitted by poor sanitation and contaminated water, are a leading cause of illness, malnutrition, and death in children under 5 years old in India. This is why providing Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities to the local villages is one of our priorities.

Water

We have helped our communities to build, maintain and repair more than 300 toilets.

Hygiene

Good hygiene including waste management is important in maintaining good health, and for the benefit of the wider community. As well as providing villages with the resources to keep their communities clean, we build awareness with our campaigns and with the support of Tamil Nadu State organisations.
