In the education program, we supported the children in our target areas by providing playing materials to balawadi students, conducting education tours for children, supplying educational materials, and nutrition food, conducting awareness on child rights, organizing exhibitions, supply of cycles for school children, newspaper subscription, provided hand pump to school, facilitated college admission, four-wheeler driving class, training in a musical band, supplied sewing machines, career guidance program, adult education program and remedial classes.
Six villages were targeted, with the following outcomes for the reporting period 2021-2022.

Children between 6-17 in school Total no. of children: 180 | · 44 students got admitted to schools ranging from 1st std to 11th std · 8 Children received cycles · Provided TV for Melakarai, Pottakaraimedu, and Irular tribal colony · Science exhibition was conducted in Shanmuga Nagar, where 156 children participated · Nutritious snacks (chickpeas) were provided to 156 children · Nutritious food (idly) was provided to 86 Irular community children |
Youngsters between 18-23 in Professional/vocational training Total no. of youths: 78 | · Admitted 6 students in Under-Graduation and 4 students in Post-Graduation courses Trained 15 youths in the musical band and provided musical instruments · Enrolled a youth of Melakarai in driving school and one person received a license in Kolphin Nagar · Mrs. Iswarya from Melakarai was trained in tailoring · Supported four students with Rs.4000/- each to continue their higher studies · Conducted a career guidance program for 33 students from the age group of 17-20 |
All Adults functionally literate Total no. of adults: 560 | · 114 adults had known to sign and 20 adults passed the adult literacy exam conducted by the government (Education Department) |
